  Working with Families

At Warwick Community Playschool, we want to work closely with the whole family, not just a child that attends our provision.  Every child has a key person and buddy who will get to know the family well during your time with us.  We also do our best to ensure that siblings have the same key person if they attend the setting.

We are very fortunate to have highly qualified staff who have worked towards training in safeguarding and working with families who have or need an EHA.  Jo and Rachel are also qualified to offer the Solihull Approach.

Within the playschool, we welcome family members to come and share their skills as well as offering open sessions or groups.  We will be offering 'Family Friday' to come and share learning journeys or a story in the playschool.  As a part of these sessions, we will be offering a lending library.  Rachel is our family advocate.  It is her responsibility to ensure families feel welcome within the setting and that we support learning for children and families.  If you have any ideas or comments, please do not hesitate to contact her through the contact us page or by popping in to see her.  Rachel runs our Stay and Play group as well as over seeing our group work programmes.

Important Information

How do I book a space?

Contact the playschool through the details below or on the contact us page.  We recommend coming to have a look around the playschool with your child.  It is important that you all feel comfortable within our setting.  You will then be asked to complete a waiting list form.  A member of the management team will then contact you to book in a space when one becomes available.  We ask that your child attends for at least 2 sessions a week.

How can I have a say?

The playschool is run by a management committee and is a part of Warwick Community Association.  You can join the committee.  The committee meets once a half term to talk about the charity and how we can achieve the highest standards for everyone we work with.  We also have family forums, information of these will be on our facebook page and in our newsletters.  We cannot run without our volunteer committee members and families.
